I am fascinated with the symbolism and meaning that nature holds and our connection to it. My sister was about to have her first baby, and I was thinking about the connection we hold to our mothers and how we are literally a part of them. even once you are born, there is a biological connection that will always be there. I researched and chose flowers that symbolized things like connection, innocence, and new beginnings. Then, I preserved those flowers and attached them to my painting. I believe that the connection we hold to each other is very important, and nature is a beautiful way to convey this connection.
