This is part of a lumber mill in northern Maine. It was late afternoon and I couldn’t help but notice the way the sun was hitting the side of the building. I stepped to the left and looked at the shadows beside the building along with all the pretty wildflowers. I felt that I had to capture a picture of it so that I could paint it later in my studio. I used a limited palette of just the 3 primary oil colors.
